Apart from that, blue grass is on the newest but not an item or collectable so doesn't really count, there is also a mod now that lets you have all farm types connected.
Apart from that again ... its personal preference, the farm types all have pros and cons early game but later on it doesn't really matter, I would recommend looking at layouts of all of them and picking what looks the best to you.
My personal vanilla farm type is the forest farm because of how it looks but then i almost never play vanilla, I play with mods and use either grandpas farm or frontier farm
All the other maps are nice in some areas or visually appealing, but their advantages are usually only important for a very short time and after that the disadvantages of having less space pretty much slows down the path to perfection quite a bit.
Though i personally don't mind it taking longer, since i'm not that much into focusing on only this one goal to begin with.
I think they mean the game condition, when you get to do the spoilery thing.

You can check an option for ALL farms to spawn mobs on the farm at night. Probably *because* of Perfection.
You can also turn them on in the witch's hut if you don't start with them.
The only unique monsters that spawns on the Wilderness farm are the wilderness golems and the iridium golems. Their drops are not unique to this farm though, as everything that drop from these can be found in multiple ways as well.
The only difference is, that rice shoots are easy to come by with all the wilderness golems, while other farm types either need to be lucky from like fishing treasures, artifact spots or grubs or by simply waiting for year 2, from which on pierre sellse it. The 4 seeds dropped by the iridium golem are similar, just without being able to be bought, but that's usually not a problem, since by the time you've dropped them all, you probably already have access to seed makers anyway.
Also blue grass starters can be purchased for Qi gems, so even if it would be necessary, it would've been accessible for all farms through that.
I really love the SDV community, it really shines, none of this OMFG you're wrong you loser! etc...
Thanks , i seemed to recall there was once, but maybe i am wrong.
This last run, I finally did the one that has monsters at night, Hilltop i think, the one that has a little quarry . or maybe it's the quary one and i enabled monsters? idr.
It turned out really nice. so, i didnt have the one giant field but i had multiple small ones that worked nicely and a lil river running through the farm. I turned the quarry portion into keg stash eventually, and paid the totem to turn of monsters since i'm just past all that. I went the joja route, because I felt like doing that, and that worked nicely too.
and i got the perfection statue year 3! i didnt even remember it was a thing, so im glad i got that.
I'd throw my hat in the Meadows ring.
Starting with a Coop and 2 chickens is HUGE for early-game passive income. You'll start raking in almost a thousand gold a day by the 2nd week of first spring, passively and all you need is to hop into the mines early and find a few earth crystals for the mayo machines.
Once you get those up, and once you've gotten a couple more chickens, you'll be well on your way to getting 4 mayo per day for a minimum of 760 or a max of 1,140 without perks.
And all you need to do is hold RMB as you walk past your chickens, step into your coop and grab the eggs and dump em into the mayo machines which you should place nearby (I place mine along the outside of the fence next to the gate) and then later in the day, grab em and dump em in the bin. About 20 or so seconds per game-day.
My new save file is in 2nd week of first summer and my 7 chickens and 1 duck plus 4 cows (I have 3 more and a goat but they aren't grown up yet) is making about 4,500 per day passively.
It only goes up from there, once the cows start making milk, I can add 3 more cheese per day for another 1,000 - 1,500 roughly bringing me up to 5,500 - 6,000 and then every other day, a goat cheese for another 600-800.
So, best-case scenario assuming all large eggs and all large milk, is 6,800 per day passively (splitting the goat cheese and duck mayo in half since it's every other day) or 190k/season. I can still plant crops, and do all the other things for money.
That's not to even mention the 3rd tier barn and coop that I usually get done by the end of summer.
