Can I unlock the resort last on Ginger Island?

Hey, sorry, im not sure if this is the right place to ask this. I'm playing on one of my longer files and am having issues finding 10 more walnuts to unlock the resort and get further into the island, I've unlocked everything else and didn't do the resort simply because I thought it was more pointless and didn't know it unlocked that sub area. Any information would be helpful at this point. Thank you!

I'm pretty sure you can choose to unlock in whatever order you like. You could check the wiki to make sure, or go talk to Leo's pet parrot. It will tell you a rough location of walnuts you haven't gotten yet.

There's also the "Joja Bird" up north, by the volcano. You can pay this parrot to collect all the remaining walnuts for you. It might be worth it if you can't find the last couple, but it gets expensive if you do it from the beginning of the island.

Thanks for the help guys. I lowkey forgot joja was an option haha. I've already unlocked every other upgrade I think and the parrot either mentions to look at the notes (I think its refering to the mermaid puzzle? Which I cant do yet) and to dig up in the west but I dont know where else to dig at this point haha

Do you want help finding the walnuts, worst case you can just buy them from a guy on the top left of the volcano.

15 walnuts are from the cave dealing with the farm produce.

the barred right section is containing a decent amount of walnuts like 8? theres the mermaid music puzzle, the dart section and the buried one.

but there are extra walnuts that it doesnt matter the order.
