witches swamp

I'm trying to catch the fish and eel in the swamp...the void ones? Anyhow, I need it for a quest and I'm so busy defending myself, I can't even use my fishing pole. Is there a method for this???

Do you have mods because in vanilla there are no monsters in the swamp in front of the witches hut, With stardew valley expanded, ooof there is alot to get to the hut. But you can still fish just kill everything around you and then fish. I use the ring that explodes once they die, you can kill 5 at a time sometimes. Or use the garlic potion, helps keep lesser monsters away from you?

or rather - are you sure you're at the right place? the place accessible from the sewers is not the witches swamp you want to fish in, that one is past a cave behind the railway

I'm playing SDVE. And yes, I'm in the correct swamp. I tried the sewer one first. lol Thanks, I have the rings that causes the explosions, I just wasnt using it. I'll try again. thanks to you both!

what I always do is activating the no clip mod in the swamp area and moving to some corner with little to no monsters, makes it also easier to move around fast in there
also get the trinket that attacks on its own
