Well, I'd make an elaborate cooking joke, but I'm not sure it would be taken in quite the humorous fashion I'd have intended...
That's not what happens.
She's bored out of her mind living in the town and doesn't feel any connection to anyone outside of her sister (and to a much lesser degree, Alex) which is why she tries to fill the void with superficial possessions. Her romance path is you giving her a reason to actually want to be there and discover other activities in town she might enjoy that she had been ignoring.
She's basically the most relatable (non self-destructive) introvert in the game.
