color selector for chests missing

I cant change my chest color anymore, the color bar is just gone?

Hi! Don’t worry, the chest color option is still in the game. Just right-click on your chest, and you should see the color bar. If it’s not showing up, maybe a mod is causing an issue? Try disabling mods for a bit and see if that works. Also, make sure your game is updated. Hope this helps :)

I know its basic, but just in case u are newbie in the game. I'm pretty sure there are button to toggle color selections after u opening the chest? Maybe u accidentally toggle it off?
The button is on the right side where to sort items and stack items from inventory to chest.

Can confirm having same issue with no colour picker for chests.

Better Chests mod broke the colour palette.
Found the fix from a user on reddit.

1 - Remove the Better Chests mod
2 - Reinstall SMAPI and launch the game
3 - Remove all items from chest
3 - Put chest back in your inventory to remove dependencies.

Btw if you have a big chest and right-click on the existing chest while holding the new chest you want to replace it with, it'll fix the bug without needing to remove all the items from the chest. Would still recommend reinstalling to make sure tho as pbp.mayer said
