I just can't get why after almost 9 years we still can't repair the Hat Mouse's house, I just feel so bad for that little guy who sells me hats, especially when it's raining or winter . I guess that would be a small but great update which
community begging for so long

Yeah, I saw that too and it looks really nice, but i just have that bad feeling when I come to his house when it's raining or cold outside, cause his house all in hools. I hoped that bear'll repair his house like everything else in the town but it didn't happend. And I really don't understand why developer can't do something about it ( maybe little quest, or just money and wood like for Pam's house ), or maybe ofc there's some sort of idea behind it all, idk

It's a mouse. Mouses don't live in houses, it probably has a burrow under it. What about Krobus who lives in the sewer or the dwarf who live in a hole in the mountain, both without furniture or anything.
