Villager destroyed machines
This isn't a complaint, just a warning. The wiki says villagers will displace a chest left in their path, rather than destroying it. I thought that meant they also wouldn't destroy a machine (like a furnace or charcoal kiln) left in their path, but they totally do. Poof! gone.

It's no problem, I could reload the day. But I thought other players might like to be informed that you can't trust the new mechanic to apply to things other than a chest. Keep your stuff safe out there!

Yep, I have witnessed Terminator Pam destroying a few things myself.

And trees. Trees also don't stand a chance. They will crack and fall x.x
Without mods, villagers are really insane in term of punching things everywhere into nonexistent.

But hey, since they can say hi to slime casually, I don't think Pelican Town is similar to other town.
aren't villagers on set paths? or do they sometimes stray a bit? Asking because, i don't pay enough attention to them to know for sure.

I have always found this amusing. But what is the purpose of building things in the paths of the townspeople, anyway? Isn't there enough room on the farm, the bus tunnel and the train station for anything a farmer needs?

Yes, they're always using the same paths. There are picture about where you can put machines if you really want to utilize the machines. Though Mods that add content obviously might change some things around.

Tillable tiles are the most valuable kind of tiles you have in the game, so many people simply don't want to waste it for things that produce something like once a week. Especially maps like the river or hilltop, which have very low amounts of tiles benefit from getting stuff off your map.

In my case it was a bunch of furnaces and charcoal kilns I wanted to keep running while I chopped a lot of trees. I wouldn't have planned to leave them there, I just wanted them near where I was working.

Oh, thanks for the information, i wasn't sure if it was a set path or random.

I recall watching villagers walk around my stuff, so maybe yours just hate you.
It was Elliot, on the beach. Blame him. He walked right through a furnace and a charcoal kiln and cussed me out about it. I guess he's protective of his beach sanctuary.

Huh, interesting! I simply never thought about doing it that way. I typically just throw my machines in one spot on my farm and then never move them again. I never thought about putting them where I am working, then picking them up and taking them with me when I was done.

Even ordinary Stardew Valley residents are walking tanks, they demolish everything in their path. That is why the Ferngill Republic WILL WIN the war with Gotoro.
