My game isn't really opening
I’ve been playing Stardew Valley for years without any problems, but now the game just won’t open. When I start it, the sidebar shows that it’s running, but nothing actually opens on my laptop. I’ve already tried uninstalling the game, Steam, and Steamworks. I even deleted everything related to Stardew Valley from my laptop and verified the game files. Nothing has worked! I’m really sad about this. Please help me get the game running again.

Have you ever remove Stardew when SMAPI is still up, or installing Stardew without SMAPI? I once encountered the same thing and figured out I didn't "clean" SMAPI (delete its folder doesn't work).

I never used SMAPI, what is it?
Alr so you never mod before. That's pure vanilla. Let me look it up somewhere like wiki.

Here are some resources:

https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Modding:Player_Guide/Troubleshooting

Good luck figuring it out, I recommend telling us which platforms you use (Mac, Windows). May you success.

I'm using Windows, and I've tried the solutions suggested by the sites, but nothing worked.
Edit: It worked! I restarted my notebook, and now it's working. Thank you so much!

You welcome, Op. Don't be afraid to ask for help. People around here are pretty helpful when it's about technical or ingame stuff.

I'm having the same issue, and I haven't found a fix yet. I'm not sure why it's happening :(

have you, 1.) opened the task manager and killed the program.
2.) restarted your PC?

other things, but usually a non-opening program is the thing is still in the task manager.
