Do I get paid for the big tasks on the noticeboard?
Just curious. Pierre has a task for 25 gold star produce and it's alot. While everyone hates Pierre I know I just want to know if he'll try to scam me and if it's okay to give it better selling produce instead of just cheap ones. I don't want to give him 25 pumpkins or something and get lesser value.

Nobody scams you. If a job is posted you'll get paid fairly exactly as advertized.

I suggest giving 25 really inexpensive gold star produce, like wheat. Something that grows fast, and that you can have a lot of. You don't get a better price for better produce. You just get the 2500 he promised.

I meant scam in the sense of getting a lower price value. Well based off you saying it's only 2500 yes seems he do be scamming.

25 gold wheat gives you ~1000. So you would get more than double the price from him, you also get an usefull item and iirc a special ticket which gives you another item

Its only a scam when you pick an expensive crop.
Ah, but he never promised to pay you the value of the crop. He only said he'd pay you a flat rate of 2500. You can think of it as a scam if you want, but really it's just about reading the contract.

Other quests might say you will be paid the value of the crop, or 2x the value of the crop. Or might say you get to keep the quest item after turning in the quest. You need to look for those type of explanations before assuming anything like that would be there.

I didn't see anything about 2500 as the value i'd have to recheck when I play again (hence why I asked) it's my first time using the megaboard so IDK. I just saw that it wanted 25 gold star crops within 25 days or so

Edit I just checked both the board and my quest log. I see no mention of payout on either.

As i said. Its 2500, an item and a special ticket. And 2500 is more than 25 of most gold star veggies

And as a tip: Always check on a monday, because thats when new contracts are comming out. Also be sure you have the maximum of time for the order

I was more questioning how and were they got 2,500 from when they say it's in the quest text when I see no mention of 2,500 just people here saying 2,500.

Fair enough but it says vegetables and I don't think wheat counts since the quest wants vegetables not grain

I harvested like 18 gold star cranberries first harvest and got like no progress towards the 25 with that

Wheat is a vegetable ingame. And cranberries are fruits

Ok fair enough, didnt know 2500 isnt written there. I was also pretty sure it was.

thanks, that's a good tip. I'm gonna do wheat too
Everything that is worth less than 100 per gold crop (multiplied by the amount of players, at least on seperate money) is worth it for the money. Additionally you also get the mini shipping bin, which is cheaper and smaller than buying one the bigger one from robin, if you need one.

Otherwise, most quests aren't really worth it for the money, but you often get a recipe or an object the first time, which still makes it worth doing everything at least once.
"There are very honest people who don't believe they have had a deal until they have cheated a merchant."

You do the quests for a number of reasons. The money is nothing. Money literally grows on trees in this game. It drops straight out of the ground. You pick it up literally just wandering around town.

What you want is the prize tickets for high value items, the social rewards in friendship hearts, and the weekly quests which often have cutscenes or advance the story in some way.

Don't worry about the money. There are more important rewards to be had.

It's year one and i'm trying to get all the bundles/house upgrades done in time for the evaluation. Kinda have to be worried about what crops I use for the quest

Oh gosh! I'm sorry then, I didn't understand. I checked the Wiki for the information I had, and didn't realize it wasn't posted on the in-game quest.

I pretty much live on the Wiki and check it for everything. I guess I forget what parts are only posted there as opposed to being visible in game.

Understandandable confusion! But I've definitely used wheat before and it works. You can always check by looking at the in-game description of the item when you hover on it. It'll say what category it belongs to, if any, like fish, forage, vegetable, trash, etc.

Funnily enough, this also applies to Void Eggs as part of Gus' Famous Omelette Quest.
It's classified as an egg on its item description, but as of 1.6.2 Void Eggs are poisonous and will drain your energy if you eat one, yet he will still gladly accept them anyway. :balatro_egg:

The community center is worth 3 points (completing it is 1, watching the cutscene is 2 points). You only need 12 points to 'complete' the evaluation.

You can get 7 points by getting a million gold.
You get 2 points for hitting level 10 in all skills.
Getting your pet to love you is 1 point.
Getting the skull key is 1 point, the rusty key (museum) is also 1 point.
Getting married and upgrading your house twice (kitchen and nursery) is 1 point.
You get a point each for getting 5 and 10 villagers to 8-heart relationships.
Catching all fish is 1 point.
Completing the museum is 1 point.
Shipping every item is 1 point.

It's pretty easy to completely ignore the CC and still get a 'max' score on your evaluation. You can also trigger a new evaluation at any time by feeding Grandpa's Shrine a diamond. You can relax a little, there's plenty of wiggle room.
