Sprinklers change everything!
So I am on summer year two. The whole first year I hand watered my crops and I was very close to quitting. Getting further in the mine and making my first 25 quality sprinklers and then 25 more for the summer crop so I now have about 400ish plants. I am sure that is small potatoes to lots of people but it should be a game changer for me.

Now I can keep my cash crop and not have to spend all day watering. Much more fun.

Just imagine how nice your greenhouse will be when you get 6 Iridium Sprinklers! BTW remember sprinklers do not work with garden pots.

I think I am a ways away from a greenhouse yet, still trying to save enough for the 2nd house upgrade that costs 200k. Looking forward to that stuff though.

That feeling of progression as you figure out a game for yourself is so nice.

I made the mistake of doing my first run on the beachfront farm. Farming is limited. Drop more than about 60 plants in the ground and you spend most of the day just watering, and you can't put the sprinklers in sand to make it easier. I took up fishing, mining, and foraging, but so many quests require it. I didn't realize how much of a difference it made until I finally got the greenhouse and could use them. Game changer.

You finding out the Beach farm is good for anything else other than Farming the hard way huh.

The Beach farm is fantastic, it's probably my favorite map.

Try planting Wheat. Tons and tons of it. And then just let it grow with rain water.

The Beach farm is also a great place for passive things like Fish Ponds and Tappers. (And Crab Pots).

It's late Spring in this shot, so the "rain only" sections of the field are empty, but They were full of parsnips earlier.

And besides, there is a section where you can use Sprinklers:

Thanks for that! I didn't know there was a section that could use sprinklers on the beach farm. That amount of space is all I ever want to farm anyways, I'm more about pigs and ponds so that's great! Beach will be my next map :D

wait for a whole year you hand watered stuff? as soon as i discovered sprinklers i was like at end of first season and went all out for those
sprinklers are the best i use cheats to spawn them in every time i make a new save aint got time to be manually watering crops everyday

I really need to do this. I have iridum sprinklers lying around but i just haven't bothered to look up the layout for them yet, so i still manually water my crops

It'll be nice to have it automated

I literally just bought the game with the winter sale. Was the rudeness necessary?

Or 7x7 if you put a high pressure nozzle on the sprinklers.

Yes, I know that's extremely end game, just mentioning it for posterity.
