Anyone tried additional expansion mods?
So I've been playing modded Stardew Valley and loving it so far, I've got Expanded, Ridgeside Village and East Scarp in terms of expansion mods.
Just wanted to see if anyone has tried some of the other ones out there like Downtown Zuzu, Stoffton and Mineral Town, do they work well with the other more popular ones like Expanded? Are they kept up to date regulary?
Just wanted to get some thoughts and insight from anyone who has tried them.

yes
Yes what? really informative reply :steamfacepalm:
Well I have now tried Downtown Zuzu and Stoffton along with Fostoria and they seem to be working ok, still unsure about Mineral Town as the mod page on Nexus says it was last updated in Feb 2023.
So I'll ask again to see if anyone with a few more brain cells than Ion can answer with some actual insights.
I think beside Ridgeside and Expanded, few expansion mod rarely up to date (my perspection). However, they may work since they add pretty much new area.
Your missing Luminestra's Visit Mount Vapius in your list. ^^
That one is well kept up-to-date and has cross-overs from the other expansion mods.

Another one I use is Cape Stardew, rather small but nice mod.

And Lunna of course from Rafeazz who also made Ridgeside.

Passerby Cementary is also nice but still in active development so if you install that expect alot of updates, like at least every week while Yellow Clown is finetuning everything. It is well made tough.

Those are the ones in my modlist and play well together.

I tried Walk to the Dessert but that one gave me alot of errors.
Zuzu Town became very laggy after awhile but that might have been adressed, I haven't played it for a long time.

And an expansionmod alot of players are (im)patiently waiting for is Sunberry Village.
Stil in development but should be relativly close to release now.

There are some great mods however some are limited fast animations not default with a fix for the crazy MAIL POPUP zooming animations and the crazy SFX like rooster at start of new day there should be mods or settings to fix that crap hahaha
Nice one, thanks for the replies, I haven't heard of Sunberry Village but I'll keep an eye out for it, especially if it's anything like Ridgeside, I'm mostly looking at ones that add a good few human npc's, I'm not so much interested in the fantasy style expansions but may look at one or two of them.
I've now started trying out Downtown Zuzu and it seems stable, I think it got updated recently, also installed Walk To The Desert (so I don't have to pay for using the bus LOL) and so far it's a little buggy but playable, the layout is a little confusing but after a fw plays I'll get used to it.
Some expansion mods like Zuzu Town do indeed bring errors
But as far as i know, it's nothing serious
I have played over 4000 hours with as many as 300 mods, but then there was a major update to the mod manager and many of my mods became out dated. I could still play but the game would crash every time I went to bed.
As a result I have not played for a long time but found other games.
Its really a great game but the constant need to update mods become very annoying and tiring, When you spend an entire day installing updates, and then have to do it again a month later.,,,,,, I have played on multiple farms, with multiple expansion and done some awesome challenge runs that were a lot of fun, like when I married ever bachelor/bachelorette in one year and ended up with 21 spouses and 23 kids all living in one house.
I am debating starting over but I would most likely have to delete my entire mod file first and start from scratch again.
Ok I tried Lumisteria Mount Vapius, Lunna and Passerby Cemetary and now heart events are failing to trigger, removing them has now messed up events from Ridgeside from triggering so I don't know whats going on, it's made my save game bugged, did anyone else get this issue with heart events not triggering from these expansions?

No, and I supposedly never will.
Ok It seems to have sorted itself out, it was just the green rain in summer that was delaying the events, I slept through to the next day, no rain and the events all triggered as expected.

Just to keep in mind, lots of the time the conditions for next events are pretty "vary" to say for many of expansion mods. Some requires specific spots and weather.

Your game will fine if you don't remove mod that will corrupt the file (SVE or any specified mods that is unable to remove) or remove optional expansion (RSV or any similar mods which work in same way).
With so many expansion mods that add NPC's de mod "Event Lookup" is a lifesaver.
It will give you all events available that day and the conditions for it to trigger.

Also keep in mind that special events like Green Rain prevent other events to trigger but I gess you found that out yourself now.
Yeah event lookup is great, that is probably one of my most used mods at the moment due to having so many npcs LOL, that and Lookup anything is also a must have.
