Otherwise, the Forest Farm also has its own set of respawning hardwood stumps, and Ginger Island has mahogany trees. You can also have the Lumberjack profession in foraging to give all trees a chance to drop hardwood.
if you plant mohagony seeds and use tree fertilizer on them, they might grow in time.
you can get mohogany seeds in the secret forest, from the stumps and enemies.
late game I would just buy cork bobbers for 500 G from willy and deconstruct them. I think you get 5 hardwood per bobber, so 100 G per hardwood, 8000 for the quest.
yes technically you could go to the secret forest for 7 days and get 12 hardwood a day which is 80 for all 7 days. But thats yeah, I would tree fertilizer mohogany seeds.
Also as a hint: If you should ever take Evelyn's quest for George, be sure to plant some of the Spring Seeds, that's the best way to be sure you obtain enough Leeks.
The best way to get lots of hardwood is just upgrade your axe enough to cut the stumps, and plant the mahogany seeds they drop.
That's not the point. The OP is trying to do Robin's quest. The quest has two parts:
1: Collect 80 Hardwood within a week.
2: Deliver 80 Hardwood to Robin's storage area.
The OP has plenty of Hardwood stored, but wasn't sure how to complete the part of the quest that requires collection.
And the answer is: Go to the Secret Woods every day and cut the respawning stumps there, the net yield will get you to 80 in time.
