The game updated to 64 bit Ram back in 2022 to make mods work better. Your 16GB of RAM should handle the game just fine. If you are having issues there are 2 things to check.
1. check your task manager and see if there are other programs running in the back ground that could cause lag by using up your RAM. i know my pc has a security program that runs almost constantly and sometimes causes game lagging.
2, if you have over 300 mods (as I did once), you may have mods that have not been updated to the new SMAPI version and are causing errors in your game. I suggest you run a SMAPI PARSE LOG which will point out all the errors and updates needed for your mods.
https://smapi.io/log
3. You will need to update all your mods anyway when the 1,6 update comes to game on March 19. So many of mine were old and messing up my game I simply deleted the entire mod file and started fresh.
How that anime trap managed to stay in 2021 while responding to it in 2024 is a mystery though.
Maybe it's Mr Qi's truth-or-dare.
