Geodes/Day Resetting

I'm trying to open a bunch of artifact troves to get a bone flute because it's my last artifact but I didn't get one so I reset my day and after 3 more days of this I believe that the pattern was the same everyday. Are the artifact trove results predetermined when you get them or is there a way to change what is inside them?

this is a sad day. but at least i have a ton of other geodes to open too so i can change the outcome
