That is the only thing, that will help you automate: Collecting animal products (for most at least, see the article). You still have to collect the products from the machine placed inside the barn or coop though. So it "only" helps you with one step in producing.
Oh, yeah. I should have told that i already have the Auto-Grabber in all my barns. I wanted at least an "Auto-producer" so i only would care about taking the stuff and then selling.
Thanks for the answer :D
My solution was pretty simple: I stopped caring about it and only grabbed the items every few days. If you then have a few more machines than necessary, you won't get a huge stockpile. I also started selling every ground product that isn't gold or purple.
yeah but do you have to collect that single item? or will it fill up a storage inventory?
lets say i place a hopper in front of a cheesemaker and dump milk into it, once it makes 1 cheese, does it stay there to be collected or will it process all the milk into cheese?
im too lazy to try tbh.
eh, seems ok i guess.
You should be selling the gold/purples because they give you the biggest profit, and process the lower quality stuff. the crop quality has no effect on the the processed version.
The solution to that requires you to complete the Joja route, and that is the auto-petter. It automatically pets the animals by half the amount of a regular pet, so you can just leave it on, but it also stacks with your own. So you can reach max friendship quicker with the auto-petter or you can stop petting them altogether with it and it'll be fine.
It depends. An animal at max friendship (5 hearts) loses 5 friendship points per day if not petted. An animal gains 5 points per day for being manually milked/sheered, and 8 points for eating grass outside.
Try going in scull cave on a lucky day and staircase down, u might find a chest with an auto-petter in it.
Also, its not like they are real animals, they are programs. Dont feel bad if you dont pet them every day :3
Yeah, that's a issue that i have too. I need to close all the barns before they go to sleep so I won't have to look for them the next day so I can pet them easily.
From what i've read here, taking care of animals and trying to make a profit is really annoying D:
Maybe i'll do another farm and do the Joja route, so i can buy the auto-petter to make thing way more easy.
I tried to do this once, but I ended up with a lot of items to produce and then I spent days just watching my machines finish the job so I could process the other animal items. It wasn't much fun.
PS: i have 4 max level barns full of animals, so everyday theres A LOT of stuff to grab and process
