Galaxy Slingshot?
This slingshot isn't exactly new if you have played with the Expanded Mod. But I was surprised to notice that the Galaxy Slingshot does show up in the vanilla game too when using only the CJB item spawner mod... Was this added in the 1.5 update? I couldn't find anything about it in the changelog I was looking at. Has anyone obtained it and if so, how? :brownchicken:

not found that, but i have a couple of Slingshots.. but are they used for anything? i not needed them so far.

I used to almost never use them myself but they do come in handy in the Skull Cavern if you load it with explosive ammo! You also need one on Ginger Island to shoot down a golden walnut :)

According to the wiki, it isn't obtainable by normal means. It exists in the game files but you can't get it unless you use mods, just like the weapons themed after the love interests (Abby's Planchette, Leah's Whittler, ...).
No mention about when it was introduced though so might be new, or not.

Maybe one day it'll be officially introduced, after all Ape finally implemented a way to get the Dark Sword that was in the game's files since launch.

Oh okay. Guess I should have looked closer at the wiki. I honestly don't recall seeing this in 1.4 while using the item spawner but I guess I could have missed it. I did obtain the Galaxy Slingshot while using the expanded mod where it is "properly" introduced though. Thanks for

I checked the history of the wiki page out of curiosity and apprently it's been created in October 2016, so it was probably there since launch. The latest revision is dated August 7, 2019 so it was definitely there before 1.5.

Makes you wonder how many things are still hidden in the game files either because they were scrapped at some point or intended for future use.

Half the fun is figuring out the game's secrets - always gets me excited to know there could always be something new.

Found an alien container on my farm not long ago, stuck in in my house. Now the thing's broken, implying the alien is loose - is something going to happen? Do I have to do something? I'm not sure, but the thought there's more secrets out there keeps me going.

I'm really trying not to read the wiki, but now I'm hearing this whole bit about a new island that wasn't there when I initially played. Between that and mods, it's like a whole new game!

Well, I don't want to spoil anything for you but there is supposed to be some sort of follow up event with the broken capsule... Though I have never witnessed it myself! :brownchicken:

And yes I agree with you. Especially after playing it for so long you still learn new things!
