All villagers portraits are gone

I really need your help please ! I was playing on SVE with +- 70 mods and the Seasonal Cute Characters mod without any issue, but then I installed the Farmer Portraits mod and added a custom portrait for my farmer. It worked once but then it disappeared AND now all of my villagers portraits are gone !! It takes away a lot of the immersion :(
I of course didn't know about backup then so I didn't make one ... I tried uninstall the farmer portraits mod, then the seasonal cute characters mod ... Nothing changes except the sprites seasonal clothing.
Can anyone help me get the villagers portraits back ? I don't care about my farmer portrait, I just want to see the villagers again.

In my despair I searched online if there existed and option to desactivate the portraits... thinking maybe I might have changed it by mistake... Well I actually did !!! It's like in the first easiest accessible options of the game and I didn't even know it existed !!! All I had to do is tick that case again and the portraits came back...
