About the forge and weapons, possible spoilers

So, I'm about to finish the volcano dungeon on the island and am wondering if you can forge and enchant weapons together on the same weapon? I'm guessing yes, but not sure.?! Thanks!

sure, because that are 2 total differetn things slotwise you can do both, and on top of that you can upgrade galaxy weapons to there next stage as a third option.
but dont mind it to much, after you seen the crystal masses needed as fuel to do so you recognice you worries about the "is it possible" was the wrong kind of viewing angle to that matter. the real question is "can you get enove fuel for all the work you want to do at the forge"

You can forge a weapon 3 times using cinder shards and gems. You can also enchant the forged weapon which will cost 1 prismatic shard and 20 cinder shards :> You can also replace the enchantment if you are not happy with it for the same "price".

Upgrading a galaxy weapon into its infinity form requires something else called Galaxy Soul. You will need 3 galaxy souls and a total of 60 cinder shards to complete this upgrade.

If I'm understanding you right, you're asking, can a weapon get a stat buff (Like +10/20/30% damage) AND an enchantment (like Paladin or Bug Slayer)? If so, then yes, your weapon can get both.

as I said in an earlier post:
First, the 1.5.4 version update added enchantments. Normally you can only enchant with Prismatic shards once, and a second enchantment changes the power that was added.

However if you use mods, you can use the MANY ENCHANTMENT mod in which
you can enchant your weapons and tools many times, in different ways, but only a certain number of times each way. Except for with the Galaxy soul, which needs 3 enchantments to get to full power.
You can also enchant once or more times with each of specific gems. Using prismatic shards you can enchant 5 times to get a random power added to you weapon.
Using Ruby will increase the damage power of your weapon, I have upgraded my Galaxy sword many times with Ruby's to max 220 damage per hit.

But you will need to collect A LOT of Cinder shards, which means going thru the dungeon many times, but the volcano only resets when you sleep, so you can only go thru once a day. The number of Cinder shards you get is effected by daily luck as well.
There is a mod that allows you to add more items to Crystalariums, including Cinder Shards, which helps to get enough for upgrading your weapon and tools.
