How to start a ancient fruit farm with a total of 116 ancient fruit plants
Ok, don't expect to do this until year 3's end. I know, seems insane. But i did it all from parsnips to 116 Ancient fruit plants in two weeks (In 1.4 and in real life time two weeks) and here's how.:
I spent a lot of time doing thins to up my Grandpa rep. This isn't needed but if you can get the statue of perfection that's a lot of iridium a day, just but/mine the gold and buy from merchant or make a battery pack. Do it 5 more times and you'll make watering unnecessary for all you Ancient Fruits (Making iridium sprinklers, six. You can also buy from Krobus on Fridays for 10k if unlocked.). Also get the greenhouse. By either farming a lot in years 1-3 or by saving up for the Joja greenhouse upgrade. Do your own math unless your lazy and place them in a pattern where they will water everything but take up as little greenhouse tiles a possible (Hint: Two go on the left, not on the dirt) Also, complete Emily's bundle or craft it to get one Seed Maker. More are unnecessary but OK.
Find an ancient seed and donate it- you'll get an ancient seed recipe AND pack though you just donated one- plant this in the greenhouse. Once it yeilds fruit put it in your Seed Maker. Plant those. Take all of their product and make more. Do this until the whole greenhouse is full.
Congrats! Start selling, making jam, or making wine wwith them! I got the statue of endless fortune just a week later (It costs A MILLION GOLD) or give it to NPC's and see if they like them! Sew with it to get what's currently my fav Stardew Valley pair of pants! Go do stuff! Get rich, boy!:Cashmoney:

Two words: Seed Maker.

I have Ancient fruit on my Island farm, which I'm keeping for this exact thing. My goal is to make aged ancient fruit wine - which requires me to grow and plant fairy rose flowers and get diamonds to accelerate the aging process. Fairy rose isn't too bad as I can get Fairy rose honey out of growing it, all of which I'm doing slowly on my island(While making pineapple wine for profit)

There is 0.5% chance to get ancient seed from ANY crop in Seed maker.

With enough dedication this all can be accomplished in y1 already.

Using fairy dust is barely profitable to age ancient fruit, since it only goes one level, from bronze to silver then gold and then iridium, instead of going straight to iridium quality.

The cost of crafting fairy dust is diamond (750g) and fairy rose (290g base, no tiller) which sums up to 1040g.

Each level of ancient fruit wine (with artisian since it’s the only way it is going to be profitable)

Bronce= 2310g
Silver= 2886g
gold= 3465g
Iridium= 4620g

From bronze to silver is a difference of 576g. If you use fairy dust you are wasting 464g.
From silver to gold is a difference of 579g. If you use fairy dust you are wasting 461g.
From gold to iridium is a difference of 1155g. If you use fairy dust you are earning 115g.

And by that point you would need to wait 28 days to go from bronze to gold in order to get the profit of 115g per wine.

If you want to see it on g per day earned it goes like this
B->S: 14 days with a total increase of 576g= 41.14g per day.
S->G 14 days with a total increase of 579 = 41.35g per day.
G->I 28 days with a total increase of 1155 = 41.25g per day.

Its technically better to age the wine up to gold since you earn less money per day to age it all the way to iridium.

And that is not even considering the extra hazzle that is to farm fairy roses and wait for crystalariums to produce diamonds, at this point just farm something more profitable than the roses and sell the diamonds.

Also, if you are using the island farm to grow fairy roses all year round, it's better to just grow ancient fruit since those will only take 7 days to regrow instead of the 12 days for the roses.

Beginners won't do greenhouse year one for sure with the bundle requirement, it is possible though.

It's not really important to make money fast since you can't run out of time, so just play the way you want.

If you want to get into the capitalist dream you have to start by planning your every move, if you waste too many steps doing nothing it will def impact your profit the first year.

If you fish do it one time per day unless it's for a restricted fish, once you apply that mentality to everything you save a lot of time which opens up time for more profit.

The most effecient farm layout is 5x5 or 7x7 , sprinkler in the middle scarecrow on the outside west lower corner which covers 8 grids in all directions. Never wine rows or 3x3 period since they require a lot more spaces between farms which is basically wasted space for nothing.

Always buy rare seeds even when they seem like wasted money, trust me they are some of the best profitable seeds before getting the greenhouse and ancient seeds of course from fishing.

If you get all the season bundles done the first year you have done something right for sure.

That guy with the greenhouse comment is thinking of buying it with money aka joja run. Not bundle run. To be clear.
