My billboard quest

I just got billboard quest that mayor Lewis want me to grow 100 artichokes . But I'm, on first year and Pierre's store still not include artichoke seed . I want to know that developer know this problem or it's my fault that choose this task on billboard. thanks.

Yeah, Pierre starts selling artichoke seeds in year 2 during fall. However, Mixed Seeds have a chance of becoming artichoke seeds when planted, even in year 1, but it's random so you may not be able to harvest 100 artichokes before running out of time to complete the quest.

I think the billboard quests are random and depend on the season, just like the quests outside of Pierre's store, so it's okay if there's a specific billboard quest you can't complete at the moment, as it can appear again anytime later.

Yeah, the billboard quests can stand to be tweaked. Another user on here posted that they got a "grow 25 gold star veggies" quest during Winter, before they had the greenhouse... which, by extension, meant they didn't have garden pots or Ginger Island.

Thanks for your opinions. so this could be problem to many new players. I suggest to developer that if there're two quest that easy and hard to completed. You should notice on billboard below the task, what they exactly want. or player can cancel task and get another one.

The patch yesterday noted that this issue has been fixed now, and it won't generate quests that require seeds you don't have access to yet.
