No rain

One season into year 2 (spring) and I haven't got any rain since the start of the year. Is this normal? It's annoying because there's no way to get married without grinding for a rain totem. Is there any other fix for this? Thanks.

it's unfortunate, but it does happen. in my current run, my year 2 spring was completely without rain until the very last day of the season. it made catching certain fish i needed for the community center kinda vexing.

Yeah I had a summer where it didn't rain until the 25th. Didn't rain much in the spring either.

The TV doesn't make it rain though. Only tell you what tomorrow's weather will be. If the problem is "It's just not raining", unfortunately the only solution IS the totem or just waiting I guess.

Before the last update just recently came out. i would just restart the game hosting the game into co-op and have rain instead of sunny day.. this version i dunno if it still work

Seriously, the television only informs you of what the weather will be the next day, it doesn't actually change the weather. That would be insane.

Just bad luck, I suppose. No, aside from making a Rain Totem or just waiting, there isn't really anything you can do.

Admittedly the materials for the Rain Totem are stupid hard to get...

I once went three seasons, including winter unfortunately without rain and needed batteries so needed it to be lightning too. Such bad luck it wasn't even funny...

I once went through the whole of fall without any rain, not once. It did exactly what you're afraid of: delay my marriage with best waifu Penny until next year. I was so upset. Since then, I have rushed to maxing out one of the other bachelors/bachelorettes (usually Emily or Haley) so I'm eligible to buy the pendant at the earliest opportunity even if I still can't offer it to the person I want.

RNG has clearly been unkind to you and you have my condolences, but fyi it never rains in winter. Never. No chance at all. The only way to have that happen is use a rain totem.

I believe I figured it out :D I took down my battery charging towers and two days after it rain stormed, after not doing for all of Fall and most of Summer. Seems some game mechanics are at work. Probably why it never rains when you wanna get married too.

Correlation is not causation. There are no systems in place to make it less likely to rain depending on what you've placed down on the farm. The chances are already known and presented by the wiki, you can just calculate, how unlucky you were with the given probabilities.
