Greenhouse question soil vs sprinkler
Hey
I just unlocked the greenhouse and was wondering why everyone is using this 6 iridium sprinkler layout

I'm planning on using regrowable crops and using deluxe retaining soil
Making watering obsolete

That way I can use all the tiles, right?
Or am I missing something?
Whats the advantages of using sprinklers?

Thx in advance

Retaining Soil isn't perfect, it has a chance to retain water from one day to the next, but eventually, it will be dry again. Six basic Iridium Sprinklers lets you cover the entire Greenhouse, and only lose 4 spots.

Really? He said "Deluxe", I don't try it for greenhouse, but I did use it on garden pots. It only need one shower to crop then u could relax.

People use sprinkler cause the ingredients are more easy than u need to buy recipe + craft those 120 "Deluxe Packs".

Edit:
Also I always use my iridium watering can when I want to use all plots on greenhouse.

hmm... Deluxe?

Never used it myself, but supposedly it's only a 100% chance up until the crop is harvested. So ... still not permanent.

So it's still a trade-off: Use the retaining soil and water at least occasionally; or give up a spot or two to a Sprinkler and never water again.

If you plan to use your crops for wine, speedgro is better.
If you plan to sell your crops directly, fertilizer is better.
Retaining soil is only good for indoor plants and the beach farm where you can't have sprinkler.

One of the best things is to plant is Caroline's tea seedlings. selling leaves gives a lot of money while there's no wine

Tea leaves are more profitable than the ancient fruit wine?

no, he said tea leaves could be used until you get everything to produce wine.

There are still far better things to be putting in the Greenhouse. Tea Saplings produce once a season, and Tea Leaves aren't that valuable.

I suggest holding back some Strawberries and then running those through a Seed Maker and using those. That will also allow you to run MORE through a Seed Maker and have a big batch ready to go on Spring 1, instead of having to wait for the Egg Festival. My Greenhouse usually has some Strawberry plants in it. It usually also has Coffee. And if the Bus is unlocked, it also has Starfruit. If you don't have a big batch of Ancient Fruit, then Starfruit is probably the next most valuable thing.

The Greenhouse can also hold Fruit Trees (along the sides).
