Untouchable Pressure Plates

So I'm in the Volcano in Ginger Island. I've come across pressure plates (larger than the brown ones to open doors.) And it won't let me step on them. I tried using the Hot Head to blow them up all at once in the middle and it didn't work. I feel there not for show. Does anyone know how to activate them?

U mean like at floor/stage 9? I guess that untouchable button for confuse player, but I'm sure one of those could open the gate for exit or chest reward. Because I have no issue on that floor/stage.

Dunno if u talking about other floor/stage. Cause I never encounter it.
