This is the HARDEST achievement for me. (for real)
My game time counts up to three digits.
I've beaten TWO full completion runs.

But this one achievement, I still couldn't get.
It's just one thing I cannot get.

Guh, I have the money, I have ALL the resources.
But I cannot get that pesky little <Joja membership>.

Everytime I see that 99% achievement progress, I let out a sigh.

'...But what about the heart of the community?'

I just wanted to express my feelings for once.
Can someone pat me on the back please?

I'd rather do the Vector achievement rather then going the Joja route.

True words. Wise words.

If it makes you feel any better, going the Joja route will put an end to Pierre's complete monopoly on local grocery shopping, forcing him to become more competitive. Have you seen the many ways he's tried to rip off his customers? :moneybagsbear: :gembag:
with over 4850 hours in game I have NEVER done the Joja route!! Have not been convinced even to try, dont like that guy.
I have played the game many times , and have 3 new save files now , so I could do the Joja route on one of them, but I need to be convinced that it is worth the time.
I downloaded a save from Nexus that was from just before the achievement pops. I'm never going to actually do the Joja route. :steammocking:

That is SMART thinking. I can respect that.
But I still think that in the end, that fried squid lover and Joja are both playing the monopoly game. At least in the community center route, you can get rid of one and drop bombs on the other.

Yeah, I think I have thought about it at some point...but thinking that "I" would have betrayed the community way and chose Joja in another timeline makes me hesitate that choice.

Maybe I'm overthinking. :bbtcat:
make a new save
get the joja membership
use cheats mod to finish the joja route asap
get achievement
delete save

Joja is corporate route. In every other game it would be logical choice but here... it kinda doesn't fit the overall spirit of the game.
I've read recently that very few players ever do try the Joja route. It is definitely set up as the BBEG and I completely get it why you wouldn't want to betray your kind principles.

I probably played the game through a couple dozen times before I ever squeezed my eyes shut and held my nose and forced myself to do it just because I had to know why my beloved Concerned Ape would put such a repulsive choice into the game. Now, of course, it is my favorite route and I do it pretty much all the time. I could tell you the reasons why I became a convert, but instead I'll just let you think I became morally corrupted and evil myself.

Good luck avoiding the Dark Side! I hope this cozy game of friendship remains a joy to you forever!

I don't think playing the Dark side means that a player is evil in their nature.

It's just me who always has this tendency to pursue the good route in story-rich games.

Red dead redemption 2, had to see max honor Arthur before the ending.
Undertale, had to see Pacifist route, never even set foot on the game again as Flowey says in the ending.
BG3, good ending Tav, and had to see every npc see their good route side quests finished...and so on.

I know that I'm not that good of a person irl, tbh. So I think I should say this is purely my obsession in gaming life.

Though, I'll have to admit, it is a great joy to me like you said XD

Especially when you remember you left a Salary-wage Desk job IN Joja for a Farm in Pelican Town.....
