Villagers mention things you sell to Pierre
This has happened a few times now that a villager i talk to mentions they got a forage item or vegetable i sold to Pierre and what they do/cook with it and I just found that surprisingly touching. I usually js throw everything in the bin at the end of the day except for when i need the money that same day so this was a shocking experience. anyone knows if this was always a feature or if it came with the major update some time ago?
Either way, I hope that selling fish to Willy could also bring similar dialogues someday (if thats not alr a thing, idk). It adds a lot of immersion in the game. Esp with how much Pierre and Willy complain about not getting any business. Its cool to imagine you're making a change lol

yeah iv'e seen that too and the same thing happens with major cut scenes like when i built pams house shane said i could use a few hundred bucks as well ans mayor lewis says that nice type of .... is what keeps the community going
For Pierre, it has always been a thing. It is just that he will take credit for it if the crops that you sold to him is of gold or iridium qualtiy. If it is silver or no quality, he will says that it comes from you. Willy, however, will always says that the fish comes from you, regardless of quality.

It always had been. Willy do have special dialogue about certain "rare" fish and crab lovers. Won't spoil too much here.
Willy once told me he believed he purchased a Sap I had sold to Pierre, and Jodi once told me Pierre showed her a Sap I had sold him. Rather amusing. :steamhappy:
It breaks my heart when villagers say they bought a thing I sold to Pierre, and complain that it filled the house with a terrible stench! I couldn't believe anything I grew would ever be bad like that.

In one playthrough I decided never to sell anything that didn't have a gold star on it, just so I could be SURE they would have nothing to complain about. And it worked! Every review in that game was always glowing with praise for how delicious everything was.

I got a lot of chuckles when it's about sap.

Either someone in the town bought it and tried it in their meals on purpose. "Why the hell did you do that?" came up in my mind every time.
if we only sold artisan products to Pierre, what would they say?
If it could have a star on it but doesn't (like mayo), then it will probably get a bad review. Something like jelly, though, cannot normally be star-quality, so I think it's safe.

nooo Snowy I sold him sap lots of times and they are always complaining about the smell when cooking it :brownchicken: I've started to believe that they will only complain about products when you are low on friendship with them or haven't sold anything to Pierre in awhile
I hadn't considered whether friendship might influence it. But sap might be different because it's literally poison.

But doesn't selling stuff in the sell bin count as selling it to Pierre? I'd have sworn I saw things in Pierre's shop that I only sold in the sell bin. But my memory may be faulty.

well I know the more friendship with Pierre you've got the more likely he's telling customers things are from you instead of finding them himself
yet they're eating all that sap and half the time complain

nah shipping bin and Pierre are two different things:tabbycat:

Lol, It has made me sell only gold and above now but, my friend sells whatever so I still get the negative hints although I really love that it has this feature.

all the more reason to side with JoJo and tell Pierre, he can stuff it, you're ruining his dreams of owning a shop in every town.
