Viable way of farming the lucky ring?
Seems there's little to no options for it other than check quarry cavern every day and pan whenever you can

You also can have it while panning on a high luck day. I recommend to do try it at the oasis in the desert. But you can have it anywhere while panning. So if Skull Cavern is not an option for you, you can try this

i meant to say quarry cavern, it's a drop from the crates but it's very unlikely to receive a drop that way, skull cavern is too costly to run in a new save and like I said, I always carry my pan regardless of luck day

Sorry!!! I did`t see your text about pan!(
I got a couple of lucky rings at the desert on a high luck days, so you can try to do the same!
I've usually gotten it through panning. Upgrade your pan to increase the chances of it spawning an addition panning spot. Try for it on a high luck day, eat a luck boosting food and drink a ginger ale. Also get the special charm from secret note #20 if you're able. Once you've got one ring, you can also use it to make getting additional rings a bit more likely.
I seen people obtain both rings mostly from Panning or early Skull Cavern run. Since getting 42500g is much faster than waiting a new season to catch specific fishes.
One of the best ways I've found for getting the lucky ring, if you've hit Ginger Island anyways, is to pan at the dig site there. Not much water so it's easier to spot, and even though it did get nerfed in 1.6, with an Iridium pan (Which has a chance of spawning another pan spot instantly when used), spending a few days at the dig site can usually net you at least one.
I've only ever gotten the ring once from Skull Cavern. The rest of the time, I just pan in the dig site.
