Automatic Fishing?

Does anyone know if there is a WORKING 1.6 ver. mod that completely hands-free automates the fishing process, including the handling of the treasure chests? There are some mods that exist for this but the one specifically for automatic fishing doesn't do anything for the treasure chests so it's basically pointless. I'm wondering if there is a mod that will literally let the player approach the water and activate something that makes his player successfully fish all day long while being able to set down the controller/step away from the keyboard while the player just sits there and accumulates fish. (For the purpose of those of us with busier lives being able to still make progress in the game without having to sacrifice one activity for another.)

most of what makes fishing take a long time is the minigame, not casting/reeling in. so just using a skip minigame mod will get you a lot of mileage.

and it's not like you can walk away for more than 10 minutes anyways unless you also use a time stopping mod.

if you are really short on time cheating/spawning in the items you want is also always an option.

This mod does not contain the ability to cause the player to auto-cast the line. It will auto-hook a fish, but you have to manually cast the line each time. I'm searching for something that will fully automate the fishing process without otherwise altering it in any way.

I do have the skip fishing mini-game mod installed, and have always played with that, but being able to set my player to do fishing automatically (at the same speed/manner as normal fishing while still skipping the mini-game) while still being able to clean house or do dishes or even work for a while is definitely appealing. I do also have a mod in place that can toggle-freeze time.

You could try my mod "Fishing Made Easy Suite" and use the Super Easy option. It'll max out the bar for the fishing minigame. So you'll be guaranteed to get treasure chests and the fish. https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3623

You can customize it pretty good so you can set the "level of cheating" for your likening

For me its just autohooking and doing the minigame no other cheats, so i cant afk fishing
