There is a mod that adds a elevator to the skull cavern like the normal mine.

Not really, you'll need to got to nexus, and pick up smapi to use mods at all, only issue I've found with it right now is that newest version of smapi doesn't work with some mods so you may need to pick up an older one, 3.16.2 has been working well for me. I've not tried the elevator mod so am unsure if it has problems with the 3.17.x release. After it's installed you just drop mod the files into the new mod folder in your stardew directory
You might also consider blades map predictor to assist in mines if doing things quickly is a problem. This is a standalone app also on nexus that can look at your game file and remove much of the randomness from the game, I suggest it because it can allow you to pinpoint rocks that likely have ladders while paused in game and if doing things quickly is a challenge this might simplify that...though it does add a new sort of tedium to the mines.
Thank you for all the tips! I'll look into SMAPI. Hope my old computer can handle it all lol
I'm mostly looking for mods that will counteract my disability making me a bit bad at gaming. so combat, minigames etc. Anything with time limits tbh.
