Ginger island, creepy?
Am i the only person who finds Ginger Island unpleasant and creepy? it's eerie and empty and just a totally different vibe from the rest of the game and IMO not in a good way. What is other people's opinions on the vibe there?

its starts out looking empty, but there are actually 2 residence., and once you gain access to the west side, you can make it your vacation home/farm.
and everyone it town will love to visit and vacation there once you repair the beach shacks.
its not any more empty then your own farm when you arrived in game.

To me it looks like a tropical vacation spot.

I think the emptiness comes from the lack of NPCs tbh. There's so few of them. Compared to stardew valley where there is around 30 npcs. there's like 3 maybe

once you repair the beach huts people will visit there every day when the weather is nice,
and there are some new mods that add to Ginger island.
You also haven't discovered the pirates hideout, where you can meet npc's and play darts, or gained access to Mr. Qi's room. Have you met the mermaid? Visited the forge? Rescued the Professor?
The Ginger Island is an adventure to explore and discover its secrets and earn several rewards. You can also choose to spend the winter in the tropical warmth if you choose.
The secrets can not all be discovered in a few days, it will take you time and lots of visits. And you will need to make several trips thru the volcano to reap all its rewards.

The island is not really empty, and is small with no real room for a lot of extra npc's. But if you don't like a challenge, you can just stay on your farm.

so it becomes more full of npcs over time? I'll give it another try

I love Ginger Island. You get a second farm house and you can open up the beach so people from Pelican Town can come enjoy the island. The real scary part of Ginger Island is how fast those parrots work. They could put Robin out of business.

Ginger Island is a great place for endgame Stardew players to go once we have done everything. New artifacts to gather and donate to a new museum, new fish, new slime type to slay and even raise in a slime hutch, some new story involving Kent from the Valley, new mines, and so much more. Once I mastered the Ginger Island Mines/Cave I fused my Iridium Ring with a Slime Ring and fused a Vampire Ring with a Phoenix Ring. Immune to all slime damages, glow, attract items, regain health whenever I do damage, and revive once if killed. Beat the Ginger Island Mines to unlock ring fusion and you can almost become a god.

Woah, definitely starting to see the upside. You don't know how to enchant gear do you? I read you can do that to help with combat

the enchantments for combat are not the main selling point (but it helps that i dont need to bomb mummys anymore :brownchicken: ), the tool enchantments will make your days much easyier :espresso:

1. you need to reach the end of the volcano (be ready to dedicate a complete gameday to that. when you reached it once you can open a shortcut to there.
2. find the notes on ginger iland that explain how it works (or look it up in the wiki)

north end of Ginger Island, you cant miss it.
Once your reach the end of the volcano (level 10) for the first time you will be given instructions on how to use the forge. You will need to run through the volcano several times to collect the materials needed for forging, but unlike the mines the volcano only resets over night , so you can only do one time a day. Come back tomorrow!
Tip: if you plan on going to the island when it rains on the mainland, you wont need to worry about watering your farm. However, you also need to visit the island when its raining on the island (at least 4 times) in order to collect the gems from the Gem birds. Its part of the quests to find all the golden walnuts.

OH, and if no one told you yet, take your watering can with you to the island, you need it to access the volcano and need it several times inside as well.
