Lightning Rod Effectiveness
I wish lightning rods were more effective. I have like two dozen and I still lose crops to lightning.

How many were already hit and processing a bolt? The more that are hit the less effective they become.

The chance that a lightning strike will be intercepted is inversely related to the percentage of lightning rods on the farm that are currently holding a charge (either pulsing or holding a battery pack). The exact probability is chance to intercept = 1 - (number of charged lightning rods / total number of lightning rods)²[2]. That is, if none of the lightning rods are currently holding a charge, a lightning strike is 100% guaranteed to be intercepted. If 50% of the lightning rods are charged, a lightning strike has a 75% chance to be intercepted. If 90% of the lightning rods are charged, a strike has only a 19% chance to be intercepted. At least one lightning rod must be on the farm to have any chance of intercepting a strike.

A non-intercepted lightning strike has a base 25% chance of hitting a feature on the farm, influenced by daily luck and luck buffs.

Yeah, I've lost crops even when every lightning rod was free so probability math doesn't mean much when I have plain old rotten luck (even a tiny chance of something bad happening is still a chance of it happening). Even when I end the day, some lightning strikes in the transition between days anyway. That would cost me trees every time when I tried having a tree farm on site.

Fortunately, time apparently freezes when I harvest something so I was able to grab everything and end the day quickly and didn't lose any stalks, but the whole issue is simply annoying and I wish I could be rid of it.

when all rods are free the lightning hit a rod 100%, so something is of. maybe already useing mods? if so good chance they interfere with the rods mechanic....

if you get a big storm it can happen that not a rod got hit, but normal ones shoud be totaly intercepted by 2 dozen rods.

Gamecodeing for Rods: chance to intercept = 1 - (number of charged lightning rods / total number of lightning rods)

you also must take into account that it dosnt matter where the rod stands, if you want a 100% for every lightning there woud be a demmand for an covered area too, means rod in your fields...
