Gift guide with item prices?
I'm extremely disappointed in this community right now.

There are thousands upon thousands of gift reference sheets and guides and articles and threads but somehow NOT A SINGLE ONE lists the sell value / purchase cost of each item!

Please tell me I'm wrong and it's just Google failing me! I've spent the last 2 hours trying every combination of keywords and "forced keywords" and verbatim searches and I've gone through hundreds of results with not a single hit!

Adding the value data is usually too much info to concisely display on a reference sheet. There's item hyperlinks for all the villager's gifts on the wiki if you want to check. If you're up for it you could probably compile it into a huge speadsheet or something.

I hear you, maybe you can make this a reality! I think since you have prior experience you can make a list, and help out this community! Just like Buffmania said.

Most players don't really care about min-maxing, so that information is usually useless and would just bloat any wiki page or guide into being twice as big while noone actually cares.

Though with 2 hours of work you could've probably done an excell sheet about that yourself at this point^^

Yep. I for an example just use Mayonnaise and Sashimi as gifts. These arent the best for fastest max hearts but its two items i easly can massproduce myself and can cover 100% of people with

I prefer coffee and sashimi for the adults

I'm not sure what the point of that would be. Is it just so you can give them the most expensive items or something else? I just use the look up anything mod when it's somebodies birthday and try to give them a loved item of high quality if I don't have one I go for a liked item of high quality. I don't really care about trying to give the absolute best item because the friendship building doesn't goes pretty fast already. I also don't really give weekly gifts because I just can't be bothered.

yeah I'd just use tree fruit, usually peaches, from my greenhouse, and stardrop tea on their birthday.

It's probably about wasting as less money as possible. Marnie for example likes diamonds, which are easily farmable, but you're spending like 750 g on that gift alone, since that's the money you would've gotten if you would've sold it instead, while a farmers lunch only costs you like 210 g or something like that.

Not that these amounts matter, since you can't really loose money no matter what you're doing, but for playstyles like speedrunning stuff like that can sometimes be important^^

Looking forward to seeing what it is you're going to put together.

If you want a reference sheet, play with mods and use the "look up anything" mod. it will give you a comprehensive list of every gift an NPC likes, loves or otherwise. you can follow the info that appears when you use it on an NPC. you can also use it to see how long crops will grow for, what items are worth, what they cost, what they can be used for, if you need it for any achievements etc. it's by far the most useful mod without impacting gameplay but may for obvious reasons affect overall gameplay (IE you may want to figure out these things for yourself, but that does not seem to be the case)

If you want to minimise costs, there is also some usefull things you can do:
- a sucessfull summer festival (give a golden rated cautiflower or a golden super cucumber for example) will give you 1 full heart with everyone that attends (excluded NPC's that lives outside the valley);
- completing the request's board at the comunity center will also give a full heart with everyone (except Leo because you won't have access to the island at that time);
- if you use the stardrop tea (that the major's machine gives sometimes) on an aniversary day and also give a loved gift at the same day (the tea doesn't block the present), you'll get 4 hearts at once. Very usefull to the NPC's that cames too late in the game or too dificult that you want to finnish sooner to not to talk anymore;
- they're not loved for all, but the only NPC's that don't at least likes Caroline's herbal tea are the children, it's an usefull and cheap present for the adults and you can give snails to Vincent and flowers or fruits to Jass.

I've found that getting foraging up to max, picking the masteries that lead to all forage items being iridium and choosing the bat cave is a great way to get gifts that a lot of people love. Of course I also use a mod that makes the cave BIGGER so I end up with a lot of iridium fruit to give out......or make wine out of!

basic fault in that thinking is already the fact that the cheapest gift is not automatic the easyiest to get.... many meals as example are cheaper than some other gifts, but crafting them coud be a shore depending on the ingridens.

Alt Solution, this can tell you all that type of information on the fly with a quick ingame search whenever the info is relevant.
