Who is stealing my stuff?

So i just passed out in town and Linus told me someone stole money from me or whatever

Since the Bus doesn't stop during the night, i wonder, who in this town is stealing from my passed out character ?!

Has it not occurred to you that Linus is just taking some money from you when he finds you? In fact, I think that he probably goes all over the valley at 2:00 AM to see if anyone passed out. I mean, you can literally pass out on your doorstep or even inside your house and he still finds you and scares off "someone" who was "searching your pockets".

Because i am at a stage in the game, where i just do my business until i pass out, especially when I am doing things on my farm.

OK, min maxing.

I have occasionally started summer, spent all my money on seeds and went into the fields until 2 AM setting up the field. at which point you don't lose any money nad just take the stamina penalty which with less than full stardrops might not be noticable.

money is lost if you have less than 10,000 gold you lose 10% of your gold. if you have more, it caps at 1000 gold.

its worth doing.

later on even though money is not important or tight I generally place machines in my house because if I pass out in my house I don't face the penalty.

After all, when you go to buy stuff from him, he does sometimes mention how he gets his stuff from the surface and takes it from us during the night.

if you reach 0 HP in the mines you lose items, you don't lose items merely from passing out, in vanilla.

god knows what mods add.

Linus doesnt do money. I think he prefers living off nature and scavenging from the trash.
I dont think its the dwarf, it only targets Linus and only do small crimes.
While it could be a Jojo employee or the GM himself, I dont think this is the case.
While I believe its some kind of unnamed mountain main secretly living in the woods, I dont think this is the case. There is no hints of this man in the game, and if there is, its just village rumors to scare kids.
What I believe? its Pierre. Why? Complete scumbag. Not only does he lies and sell your produce as your own, but also gaslight you into thinking JojoMart is evil. After JojoMart is defeated (if you choose this evil route) Pierre raises his prices and even copy its practices (keeping it open every day of the week) This forces Abigail to have no day offs unless you choose to marry her, but then most likely forces his wife this role instead!

I just think Pierre is just plain evil and robs you at night, even if you fall asleep next to your bed. Hate him.

If Stardew 2 doesn't have law enforcement, I am not playing.

Obviously the reason why he closes shop after 6 is to stalk you and rob you of your money and seeds.
Said seeds will be resold to you and you are not the wiser.
Face facts: Pierre is the most evilest man in the entire game and no one realizes it besides me.
