Dogs And Cats

I dont like the fact that you get a dog or a cat if there is no point to them.
I wish there was a function when sometimes the dog or the cat could bring you things like lost books etc. The dog would dig something up from the farm and the cat would find it just like how cats bring dead mice back to the owner. What are your thoughts on the dogs and cats?

Not everything needs to have a "use." Sometimes things are just included for atmosphere.

I won't argue more purpose could be nice, but it's not always necessary.

I find it quite awkward that only you in the entire village has an animal as pets. It would be kind of nice if the villagers have pets to host some kind of a annual pet festival. Maybe implementing a small energy boost for playing with your pets would be a nice additional feature, and neglected pets will have them dig through your crops / destroying them to remind you that they need love, too!

Yeah thats a good idea, people usually just go years without petting their pets or filling up the bowl of water.

You know, there is a mod that does exactly that. I have it, I use it, I like it. its called cat gifts

I'd like to think the pets help protect the farm, but hey they can only program so much. I'd actually like to have more pets.

But patting the dog or cat and giving it water also helps with grandpa`s evaluation!
