Just trying to find star shards

I've read in the wiki that I can only find star shards in omni geode and magma geode, and that has the same probability than any other mineral.
I've been farming omnis in the desert for quite some days right now and i couldn't find a single star shard.
The museum is the only achievement left for me. Any tips on finding it?

If you switch to farming Magma geodes it'll be a lot faster. Change your perks to the 'more geodes' one, start blowing up/mining rocks at level 80, you can get ~30-40 in a day and each one is a 1/26 chance at the one you need

Apparently the first chance I have to get the ancient seed is the 34th treasure trove I open.

Best start farming those omnigeodes.

actualy, you can break 33 common geodes, and then one trove for the seed, but you'll need to be carefull.
