New save for 1.6

I've been away for awhile and was wondering if I should create a new save for 1.6 or if I should just jump in on my old save.

If it's been a long time since you last played, I strongly suggest starting a new save. Not just to better experience all the new content the update provided, but also to refresh your memory on how everything in the game works. There's even a brand new farm type added to the game, which you can only access via starting a new save anyway.

Pure vanilla and not too old a save, probably be fine to carry on with your old save as I dont believe there is a requirement stated to restart, me personally, if its been a while anyway then why not start again.

It's not a requirement, but is generally recommended for a variety of reasons. Some technical, some gameplay related.

If I do not recall my farm I would start a new file.
