initially was going for haley but switched to penny because red-heads are objectively the best.

Based on dialogue, Haley seems to be the more, shall we say, "needy" of the two. Penny is a close second in that aspect compared to all the marriageable townswomen, though. Of all the spousal candidates, it's these two I imagine that you'd most likely still be annoying your adult kids with from all your flirting thirty years later. Them and probably Elliot.

Hohoho... I just find it a bit curious when people claim someone is the best, and wants everyone else to agree, but can't seem to present one good reason as to how and/or why this somoene is the best :P But poppy flowers is a start perhaps.......

Can't argue with that logic.

I also went for Penny in my first playthrough because she seemed like the best one to be a mother. She also loves to read (me too!) and I felt sorry for her having to live with her deadbeat mother.

My second playthrough, though, I went for Maru. Smart girls rock!

Going with Penny makes a good story. She wants to life in a real house, she does with you. She dislikes how her mother desctructs herself, so you repair the bus so she has a job again and you build her a real hous, getting her out of the trailer.
