How to transfer saves from Switch to PC? Suggested mods?

I am sure this question has been asked more than a few times so I apologize. However, the discussions I found on this topic were 2-4 years old so I am hoping something has changed. They mentioned Switch hacking which I have no interest in doing.

I have played Stardew on Switch for years now and I do not want to lose all of my progress. I understand that there are mods which would trivilize many parts of the process of starting a new save and gaining much of what I have on my current save - I am curious which mods those would be but I would like to avoid them if at all possible. I plan to experiment with some mods, which is part of why I got the game on Steam, but I do not want to build a poor habit of trivializing the game.

Is there any way to transfer my save on my Switch to Steam? If not, which mods would you suggest I use to quickly get my new save progressed to where I am at? I am also curious about any quality of life mods that you suggest I check out.

Side note: I recently started working on a farm part time and I am feeling the Stardew vibes heavy irl. I have gotten to the point of playing the Stardew soundtrack while I feed the chickens, ducks and sheep. I am super excited to get back into this game on PC.

That is one of the discussions I saw, the post was made four years ago and says you need a hacked switch. I am looking for alternatives to exactly that guide.

You can use Hekate to extract files from a Switch without making permanent changes to the console, but it's still a process involving terms like RCM and Jigs and Injecting the Payload. Nintendo just aren't proud supporters of the right to repair movement.
