Do you guys like using mods?
I love mods, but I always say the best games are those that don't need them, so they're 100% optional. Stardew Valley seems to be one of them. I like my first gameplay to be vanilla (I just fixed the Community Centre and bankrupted Joja). I'll use mods with my next character. Suggestions?

*I saw a mod with season outfits. If ConcernedApe is working on a version 1.7, well, Summer outfits would be cool. And people could use the Community Centre a little more, I've seen nobody since I rebuilt it.

Well, for essential mods to install, I'd suggest "UI Info Suite 2", which adds a lot of quality of life features.
https://github.com/Annosz/UIInfoSuite2

"Automate" is also a big time saver. If you put a chest next to a machine, it'll automatically put anything from the chest into the machine, and put anything the machine produces in the chest, and it chains. (Though be careful. The shipping bin is a machine...)

Silly as it might sound, I like having "Marry Morris" installed. It turns him into an actual npc that walks around town and you can become friends with, and gives a bit more depth to the character. You could also install "Juliet and Jessie the Joja Clerks" so the clerks are also npcs.

"Part of the Community" is nice in that it makes becoming friends with characters easier in ways that make sense. (One big one being that if people get friendship points from seeing you talk to other people.)

You could go "Adventurer's Guild Expanded" for more content around the Adventurer's Guild. (Make sure to use the 1.6 version.)

"Immersive Saloon" gives additional dialogue in the saloon. The "Ornithologist's Guild" is nice for birdwatching.

Some people like to add "Ridgeside Village", to add an entirely new village to the game. And, of course, there's "Stardew Valley Expanded" which majorly changes the game in lore friendly ways.

There are a million mods to play around with. I personally like to use the "Stardrop" mod manager and set up different profiles for different sets of mods, so I can have a minimal set of mods, then other sets that radically change the game in various ways...

I use Info Suite 2 to not need to go out of the game to access the wiki. Also, since I have very sensitive eyes, I need Universal Recolors to bring down the brightness.

I love it. I could mod all day everyday if I didn't have more important things to do as well! :brownchicken:

I've played about 1500 hours without mods, 100 hours with. Stardew is great either way. The mods give variety, but I would play SDV even without them.
