She adds a room onto your house (as do all the marriage candidates). She also sometimes does sculpture in the "spouse exterior location" in the upper right of the farm.

Her house is still decorated for the season, but she's not there.

I haven't married her in the current patch, I'm pretty sure it reworks marriage schedules to be more immersive. if you are asking if its safe to use it for storage the test is to fill it with items and see if they get destroyed after letting a year run.

It would be interesting if she were able to turn it into an art galley while still making her stuff at her new home.

If you marry Leah her Cabin becomes a free space, i'm not sure if that has changed since the 1.6 update tho.
