This is of course not silly, but your kind Modesty...
If Linus is Yoba : (Mother _"Nature"_),
Conscience --> is -the Expression of- the Creator.
to be free to choose between Good or Bad.
=> The "Nature" of (all) Things.
of course :
of "THE" human, too.
In this sense, we can say that : Gus.. also succeeded in "Conscience"s test.
If human Life is a Test,
the points --> are given "already" in "this" world : without postponing them to other side..
with
both the Punishments... and the Rewards.!
by
"Mother" Earth...
If the Conscience asks a question.. the answer "surely" exists in "Nature".
Linus has spoken.
He clearly has magic powers because he's able to get catfish in the mountain lake (a gift letter he sometimes sends) where they don't exist for mere mortals, and find berries even in winter (one of his heart events), so I'm sure the farmer harvesting a few items doesn't cause him any problems.
Wow! It never occurred to me that Linus could be Yoba. What an interesting concept.
However equating Yoba with Mother Nature doesn't feel right (from a Pagan's perspective). You'd think that Mother Nature would be represented by, maybe, a middle aged female who lives the way Linus lives. And although Yoba could easily be a woman's name, it would be strange that Linus would be representative of Mother Nature.
I didn't think of that. And I got a few catfish from him in my original game (although none yet in my new game).
LInus realizes that the people are stardew valley are BOUND to their beds. no matter where you are, what you are doing, how far you travel, you will pass out at 2AM and wake up in your bed at 6AM. essentially imprisoning you.
by having his bed in a tent, if he desired to leave the valley, he could simply move his tent to where he wanted to be.
he's free, you are in jail, why are you sorry for his freedom? why do you seek to imprison him?
they are in fact quite cosy and very practical
So... no, I don't feel bad foraging near him. There's plenty for everyone.
but we never see him do that.
