With 1.6s new RNG generation for ground stuff, does resetting the day and tilling the treasure spots work anymore for grinding for those?

I got two spots on the Isle Farm and reset like 5 times now, and every time there's just been the same drops, last time I did this, I got different drops from it, which was pre 1.6.
