[rant] Volcano Dungeon is really annoying

Why aren't there new swords for this dungeon? I have the galaxy [spoiler/] sword and it takes 6-10 hits to kill somethings (maybe more). I have the recipe for the the totem, but I haven't found one of the ingredients once in my last three runs. The fire sprites [spoiler/] are particularly annoying because they have a huge knockback so most of the time spent killing them is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ waiting for it to fly back to you, repeat ten times. Such trash.

It was fun the first time, just because it was an area I haven't seen before but now it's just a slog and I hate it.

You'd still need to run through the dungeon to collect the shards to actually use it. The things in the dungeon aren't strong, you can facetank it with cheese or even the mushrooms in the dungeon and rush through it making sure to mine the shards. the non flying enemies(since they love bouncing away to waste your time) can be quickly dispatched by mashing the attack key with a hammer special. equip iridium/ruby rings for 20% more damage and forge your weapons with rubies for even more damage.

You can get a special mask from talking to a monkey in the last room This has to be done after getting perfection.

Also oddly this re-popped in my old game when I went to the last room again. I still only have one though. Maybe was slightly redesigned with the update or something. Or maybe it was because I "redid" perfection by going to the peak to get the new achievement.

Wait, did some one say there was an option for 20 more floors in the volcano???

The monkey appears right at the path once you have achieved perfection. Easy to reach.

The 20 extra floor layouts are unlocked by getting the shortcut to the top of the volcano.
