Are the new crops OP?

Carrots don't sell for much but they have INSANELY high energy value at 75 for regular and 135 for gold quality. Also taking only three days to grow? Compared to eating darned spring onions that only give like 13 energy each? Psssssht...

And I thought summer squash maybe weren't as good since their energy is a bit lower at 63-113 energy. But THEY DON'T NEED REPLANTING! And they regrow EVERY THREE DAYS! This is higher even than hops, which used to be my favorite summer food. It is true that hops regrow every day, but squash is ripe in only six days, while hops takes 11 to grow up.

Then there's broccoli. Same energy as squash, takes four days to regrow instead of three, and it's only big bonus is that it's worth double what squash sells for, so maybe that's nice? But mostly I'm just glad to keep using it for food, at least until I get my cheese production up high enough.

But I didn't even mention XP yet! All of these crops have ridiculously high XP per harvest! A basic parsnip takes four days to grow and gives you 8 xp. A basic carrot takes THREE days to grow and gives you THIRTY-THREE XP?!? You can level up to farming one by just harvesting THREE of them! Well, maybe four. But the point is you'll level up SO FAST from these! This blows kale totally out of the water! All of the new crops give three or four times more XP than any other crop before!

The only thing holding these crops back AT ALL is the fact that they must be found in like artifact spots and stuff. It's hard to get more, unless you have a seed maker. So this is really just a year-one boost. But still, it's pretty amazing! I think it changes the game a lot.

It's honestly too good. I'm scared that Ape is going to nerf them after he comes to his senses.

I got soooo many carrot seeds i was seeing orange. But my rabbits now make plenty of quality wool.
I was surprised by the powdermelon when I first saw them, but they make nice profit when turned into wine and aged.

Wait? When did they add Giant crops to the vanilla game?? So Powdermelon can be grown into a Giant crop, which will also increase the profit !!!! I am going to add a giant crop garden to my farm now even without using the Giant crop mod.

Oh and in answer to your question, Iridium Powdermelon sells for $120, but the Iridium quality Powdermelon wind sells for $504 . so thats a good jump in profit.

1.6 - added 2 more Giant crops - powedermelons and Qi fruit
I usually keep at least 1 of each Giant crops for decoration on the farm, so has 2 new goals now!

ya I like to have them as decoration too, had lots of them on my Rich farm two years ago, lol
