Problem with river jelly
Hi, i have a problem with river jelly. Tried 5 IRL days catch this, but only got other fish or trash. Tried fishing on Ginger Island with training rod, but with no result. I am playing on coop save, but when i tried do it on this farm playing alone, also did not catch single jelly. I alredy have 10 level in fishing, but tried do it with +2 luck - still no result. Starting thinking, that there is something wrong with my save, on which i have alredy catched other jellies. Please help

From the wiki for each jelly:

The best rates for River Jelly are when fishing in the freshwater pond in Ginger Island West using a Training Rod. Under these conditions, there are only 2 possible catches: River Jelly and Snake Skull, as all of the fish that can be caught have difficulty greater than or equal to 50. Only if the farmer fails the random check to catch both of these will the farmer get Trash.

It is also possible to achieve similar rates when fishing in either Desert pond, although either Green Algae or Pyramid Decal instead of Snake Skulls will be the alternative drop. Fishing in the Desert does not require use of the Training Rod if done after 8 pm or in the lower pond, as there are no fish to be caught. However, this also means that there is no convenient way to refresh the Jelly's random value once it changes to a failing value.

Cave Jelly

The highest possible rates for Cave Jelly are when fishing on Floor 100 of the Mines. When fishing in this location there are only 3 possible catches: Cave Jelly, Lava Eel, and Trash. Any rod other than the Training Rod may be used, as the Training Rod removes both Cave Jelly and Lava Eel from the pool of possible catches. The chance of catching a Lava Eel can be reduced by fishing closer to the shore, marginally increasing the chance of catching a Cave Jelly.[1]

At this level, ordinarily, 5% of casts that do not catch a Lava Eel will result in a successful Cave Jelly catch. Each level of Luck Buff increases the chance by 5%.[1] So with +5 Luck, 30% of non-Lava Eel catches will be Cave Jelly.

Unlike other locations, fishing on Floor 100 of the Mines does not use a predetermined value to determine whether the farmer successfully catches a Jelly.[1]

Sea Jelly

The highest possible rates for Sea Jelly are when fishing on the beach in Ginger Island West using a Training Rod. Only if the farmer fails the random check to catch both of these will the farmer get Trash.

It is also possible to achieve similar rates however on Ginger Island South, or on the Beach during Summer, although Seaweed instead of Snake Skulls will be the alternative drop.
Fishing on the Beach during Summer with the training rod will also work.

The Bookseller will randomly pick one each visit and trade three for a Jewels of the Sea book.

Increasing your luck stat will increase the chance to find them, also you need to catch a normal fish if you catch trash because it will never give you a jelly after fishing up trash until you catch a fish. (Except in cave apparently). So try to catch them when you have a good luck day from the TV + a luck buff.
