trains not dropping stuff when away

so i had a train come through. it drops wood. but i noticed. it never started dropping wood until after i arrived. the wood cart was half way through the room, and well. the left half of the railway had zero drops. and it started dropping wood as soon as i got to the tracks when it was half way through. i wonder... may explain why i never have drops when im away.

Because that's how it is programmed. If you ignore the train, you get no drops.
Not that it would drop anything worth while anyways.

I always only read rumors about some super profitable drops but only rarely got something good myself if at all...

Recently got about 30 magma and 20 normal geodes with couple coal and some hardwood... think ti was my best train drop by far (though at Y5 so pretty pointless at that point.. but ye if you are lucky and get somethign liek this early enough...)

As general rule I feel safe to ignore train unless I am really close enough to omfortably reach it and spend ~2+ in game hours even for zero gain...

Always had to be on the train screen for drops to appear. Sometimes I'm there and I still don't get anything. I've never gone after the train has passed, same day, and found anything.

ironic tho. i got 2 leprechan shoes on my last file pree update. this one. cant even get enough train drops in genernal

ya they drop stuff sometimes, you can get like 20 geods if your lucky. and leprechaun shoes. once i get a pair. i dont need trains anymore
