First iridium tool?
I would like to know what is the first tool to use in iradium according to you?

Or maybe use the iradium ingots for Willy's boat?

I usually do pickaxe, than axe (actually i would say the axe is most notable difference from gold from all tools - but on other hand wood is not so rare).

The boat I would saz if you have time and readiness for lot of new content.. in current run I made boat but took me another game weeks before I started explore Island regularly.

The problem with the boat is that I'm missing at least 150 of hardwood.

Just daily visit magic forest for 10/day (without any perks), can also plant mahagon tree if you get some seeds.

you *could* grind wood from the boxes in the mines, but that is pretty annoying due to RNG funnies, you could also hunt down those large tree stumps aswell for a good bit of hardwood aswell, not sure on other ways to get it.

Always upgrade your pickaxe first. It allows you to get ores faster with fewer swings so you get to stay in the mines longer, which results in more ores. More ores to upgrade your other tools. Then axe to gold, and the rest can stay at iron for a long time.

My upgrade queue is typically: Pickaxe > Axe > then use 5 iri for boat > Hoe > Watering Can > Pan > Trash Can.

The Forester profession also works for the stumps. So you should get 12-16 hardwood per day. Then plant every mahogany seed you find for 10 hardwood per tree. The slimes in the secret forest also have a chance to drop mahogany seeds.

Do you really need an iridium axe, though? My bottleneck with wood is almost always trees and not energy.

I would agree with axe second up through gold, but I'd definitely take an iridium hoe and watering can before axe.

"need" is strong word for stage when you upgrade to irridium but the bonus is not in energy but in time for mass cut trees.

As the hoe and can I see those at bottom too as Ironically they work great wit quality spinklers but less with irridium - even at end game I usually hoe and water 5 tiles rows rather than 3x6 as it fit spinkler area better.

Iridium Fishing Rod. Always.

Using bars? Pickaxe. Not sure why anyone would choose anything else. After that its either Hoe/Can and last Axe. I never even bother upgrading trash can.

Iridium axe is just really useful to clear the entire map of trees in a few hours and it makes the visit to the secret wood THAT much quicker. It gives you so much wood for little time investment, it's amazing. As for the hoe and watering can, you only really need to hoe and water once a month if you have sprinklers, and the 1x5 is good enough for that. That might change on the beach map but as a general rule, Axe is more useful to upgrade to max before those two. Eventually the 3x6 is more useful, but if you're at a point where you need 3x6, you already have all the materials to do that.

Also, obligatory "my opinion" lol

You're not using ore to upgrade the rod though. You just buy a better one.

Pickaxe.
Fishing pool is usually the first technically speaking, but you buy it. No need to mine for iridium. :steamhappy:

Pickaxe simply to get ore faster. Why you would get anything else first is beyond me. It'll just take longer to get other iridium tools.
