Farm planners
I'm looking for a farm planner for the ginger island farm. There seems to be a bunch of really nice planners out there, but I can't find any ginger island farm layouts on any of them. Any recommendations?

I have not seen an official one, but somebody made this: https://stardew.info/planner/14-comfortable-owls-walked-merrily/ It's probably your best bet

yeah, that's the one I use for my main farm. But I can't find any option to do a ginger island layout. It kills me, cause it has every variation of the starting farm.

If you click on the layout tab at the top of that planner you can now open a ginger island farm layout (it might be a fairly recent addition)

And then there's me, just throwing crops wherever, a total mess, because I'm too lazy to plan.

But if you don't plan a least a little bit, how do you know where to set the scarecrows and sprinklers and eventually the Junimo huts?

I have a grid I set up (without mods) just below my regular farm of 5 side by side growing plots of 5 x 5 tiles each x 3 rows deep. Stone walkways between them and 2 Junimo huts centered on either side. There's a total of 312 tiles for growing I think. I could expand it to another three 5x5 tile plots but I reserve that space for mystic trees.

there are no crows on ginger island lol.

also you can simply put your sprinklers first...

as for junimo huts I never use those as i don't get the point, but I guess you can simply put them the same way you put them on your other farms in order to get the same effect.

Counting out squares for sprinklers is really all the planning I do. My scarecrows are just plopped down willy-nilly. I don't use the huts. Like I said, I'm lazy, and this is my game fro when I'm too fried to think about stuff. I'm not judging or anything, I just find it fun to note how differently people play the game.

Yes, I agree, people do and can play how they please. That's one of the things that makes this game great. I have a couple Steam friends who play SDV and we all play differently.
