Who to marry?

Hi, got my eyes on a few of the available characters but really don't know the differences to choosing one over the other. I know they have different heart events, move in and give you food after marriage, but other than that, are there any differences?

If it helps, I've already got two hearts with Abigail but really want to try going after Sebastian. Maybe Haley?

Please don't flame me, this is my first playthrough and I've been panicking over everything oopsies

all marriage options are the same the only difference is the way they look you can also divorce/remarry as many times as you want so dont think too hard about it just pick the one you like the most and if you want a different spouse later on you can always divorce em

The differences are mostly cosmetic. For a first playthrough choose the one/s that you like the most. Or, if you don't mind carrying a rabbit's foot around you can date them all at the same time. Any choice is good, though if you are hoping your spouse gives you certain gifts once in a while than you may want to look up in the wiki about it.

The main difference is that if you marry Abigail, you get to marry Abigail. If you marry anyone else, you don't get to marry Abigail. So pretty clearly Abigail is the best choice.

The correct answer is Shane! No one is more deserving of a shot at love than this man!

But it would help to just experience everyones friendship events and see who sticks out for you personally because as everyone else mentioned above, the choice isnt really that deep and its just an aesthetic choice. No one character gives you more of a benefit to marry than another. You just choose based on the character you feel suits you.

If you relate to being quirky and having weird but wholesome ways of expressing yourself, youd like Emily. If you can relate to be a little anti-social because your self driven and ambitious, you'd probably like sebastion. Or maybe you just like they way they look and and thats all the reason you need.

Dont overthink it! Just pick the villager that you like based on what you get to know about them when they have their heart to heart (no pun intended) moments with you.

I don't recommend dating everyone in the town (by throwing bouquets at them) unless using some kinds of specific mods.

Just note down some traits and think which spouse is the best option you got. Can't help you decide something, you need to figure it out on its own.

I personally think, Leah is the best option and right after that Hayley, because of her arc. I just adore Leahs overall character and I like her attitude the most of all the women in town.

Part of the fun is exploring your options each play-through... so, for example, choose the one you want to marry this time around, the next time choose a different bachelor/bachelorette.

Their stories are different, but they all function pretty much the same.

Yeah but Shane does not change even though his heart events says he does. In his events he stated he is seeing a counselor and spending less on beer but after you marry him and give him the good life his room is till littered with beer cans. Giving him the good life and a future does not change him at all.

If he changed after marriage and gave up the drinking then giving him a chance would be fine.

I think that over the years, I've married all the women (except maybe Haley), and I can't see where it makes a bit of difference which one you choose. I haven't seen it affect game play at all. Purely aesthetic.

It would be cool if it did make a difference. Like if you married Penny, your mother-in-law moves in, too.
