Controller Not Working Since Update

My Switch Pro controller hasn't worked right (or consistently) since the update. I'm on MacOs Monterey 12.7.4.

I do not use any mods.

I've remapped my controls. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in. I've tried different community templates.

I've tried disabling steam input, and enabling it. I've quit SDV and reopened it. I've quit Steam and reopened. I've turned "Detect Gamepad" on and off.

Nothing sticks.

Sometimes *most* of my controller buttons work the way I want them to, but the cursor/ right joystick seems to be trying to take over. I **NEVER** used the mouse (and I do not want to) prior to the update, and now I'm forced to. Also my buttons don't cycle through the items correctly, they'll jump from one row of items to the next and the next item in the column instead. I can't use the hoe without the mouse, or plant seeds without putting the cursor on the space i want it. I can't hold down my buttons and have the axe keep striking, or the hoe/watering can expand its hit spaces.

I haven't bothered to try fishing and I'm afraid to go into the mines with inconsistent controls.

All of this is infuriating and discouraging and I'm not enjoying my favorite game anymore.
