Golden Walnuts in Volcano Dungeon

How do you keep track of which of the 17 has dropped? I lost count and now not sure how many I lack of from there.

talking to the parrot in leo's house. They'll hint at what's left. Volcano dungeon hints are higher priority than most other hints and it will usually squak at you about it.

You can check with the parrot inside Leo's hut - it will tell you what walnuts you are missing (like - in Volcano, or in the West part - from crops, or from mussel rocks).
He wouldn't tell how many is missing there, iirc - but at least you would know where to look.
Also, it's my pov, but the exact count really matters only when you are going for the perfection (all Walnuts collected). Before that - just get them as you can from all around the island. Volcano is just RNG anyway (both from Monsters and rocks and barrels), so - patience! You will get them all eventually.

Some might consider it cheating, but in my opinion - it's good if you are stuck, and it's not hurting anybody, especially in single-player. But of course, it is up to you.

Thanks. I never went back there after unlock the island. Everyday was there just for the dungeon to get Walnuts and some shards and some tooth.

92. Winning Darts Minigame -- 3 walnuts
93. Killing Island West Tiger Slimes
95. Mining Stones in Volcano -- 2 walnuts
100. Harvesting Crops on Island Farm -- 5 walnuts
I'm confuse with the numbering, does it mean I still have 2 Walnuts to find from killing Slimes or just 1 more? 94 96 97 98 99 is something else that I have done? I don't remember doing that many since all I do on the island is just dungeon only.

Yeah... collectibles are annoying if there isn't a easy way to identify. I still quite early on the island so will try to get some done first if possible.

If I'm not mistaken - for Slimes it would say if you have more than one left from those, so you need only one there. But it's not Volcano slimes - it is specifically slimes in the West part, near those Mahogany trees, closer to Qi's Walnut Room.
The rest (missing numbers) - yes, you did them all. It's just those that are from bushes, and "special" places/patches, and mussels rocks... That stuff. Also Monsters and barrels in Volcano. Check-up list really list all of possible sources separately.

And - good luck on getting all of them!
If you need help - there's always wiki, or just ask. People on those forums are good and helpful.

Leos parrot will point at where are still some left.

In regards of the volcano dungeon in particular: It doesn't really matter which is missing as if you are still missing any of those and want to specifically search for it, you will do ALL the things needed for ALL the 17

If you're there for breaking rocks, you will kill enemies and open chests ^^

If you really want to OCD about ONLY doing what's needed (and that's fair, I can understand that), you ... well ... just remember it? ^^

For an embarrassingly long time, I did not realize that there were chests that you could just open in the volcano. I only knew about the ones that you broke open.

Oh. I guess I have mis read then. I was thinking Island, West-Tiger-Slime instead of Island-West, Tiger-Slime. Was also thinking if there is a variation of central-Tiger-Slime or North-Tiger-Slime in future content.

Now relooking at the check list, it does not make sense. I found 18 nuts. However, the list had like 40++ missing number. That can't be right if I have done them all. I purposely skipped doing stuff, just going for dungeon only. I could not find the full list as well.

About Slimes - it's understandable if it's your first play-through and you are going in blind.

For full list of Walnuts - there are total of 130 walnuts, and not all of them have separate lines on the checkup. Some of them are single nuts (like in very specific locations, e.g. bushes), and some of the entries do list several (like from Harvesting crops).
Are you sure you didn't do bushes and other stuff?
What Qi's room door says (if you can't enter yet)?
If you can enter - you definitely did at least a 100.

P.S. I thought wiki has a full list with all locations too? I remember even screenshots with highlighted locations for "stationary" nuts. Though - maybe it was from youtube guides...

Sorry, I was confused myself and sorry I cause more confusion to you.
I was wrong - you didn't do those "missing" numbers.
And in fact, they aren't exactly missing - just not listed.
94 AND 95 - those 2 nuts in Volcano from rocks.
96, 97, 98, 99, AND 100 - 5 nuts from crops.

Not sure why creator of the check-up did it that way.

Again, sorry for that. Hope now it's more clear.

Oh ya, now it make sense. It is not a norm to arrange it in that way. If I did not found any of the nuts thru mining, the numbering would have been 92 93 98 103.
